Yihan Dong
Yihan Dong is a Senior Associate based in RBB’s London office.
Yihan has advised clients on numerous high-profile merger, abuse of dominance and litigation cases. She has experience in a wide range of sectors including technology, private equity, retailing, financial services, telecommunication, pharmaceutical, healthcare, real estate, industrial chemicals, and transport.
Yihan joined RBB in 2018 after completing an MPhil degree in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge. She also holds the CFA charter and the FRM certification. Yihan is fluent in English and Mandarin.
As an economist, Yihan has worked on a wide range of matters including horizontal and vertical mergers, abuse of dominance investigations, anticompetitive agreements, litigation, cartels and follow-on damages estimation. Yihan is highly experienced in economic modelling and data analysis supplemented by innovative econometric methods.
Yihan’s experience spans numerous jurisdictions, especially the EU, the UK and China. Yihan has worked on Phase I and Phase II mergers, as well as multijurisdictional global mergers. Yihan has extensive experience in China’s technology sector and was retained by the Chinese competition authority to provide economic advice on high-profile mergers.
Yihan has worked with clients such as Alibaba, Alphabet (Google), Aon, CD&R, Cochlear, DIC Group, Illumina, Morrisons, Samsung, Scania, Telia Company, amongst others.
Yihan’s sectoral experience covers technology, private equity, retailing, financial services, telecommunication, pharmaceutical, healthcare, real estate, industrial chemicals, and transport. She also has experience in analysing local competition issues in the retail and wholesale supply of fuel and groceries.
Yihan is an expert in RBB’s fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms (FRAND) team.
