
Trent is an Associate Principal in the London office of RBB Economics, joining the firm in 2017. He holds both BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from the University of Warwick.
Trent has worked on a wide range of competition matters including in-depth Phase II merger investigations, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, and market inquiries.
In 2022, Trent undertook a 1-year secondment in Google's economics team. During this time, Trent assisted on numerous competition matters across Google's business areas, particularly in the context of incoming EU regulation including the the Digital Markets Act.
Trent has advised clients on matters before the European Commission, as well as before various national competition authorities and courts including those in the UK, France, Australia, Turkey, and South Africa.
Trent has worked with clients such as Alphabet (Google), Scania, Thermo Fisher, Kone, and Motor Fuel Group, amongst others. His experience covers a range of sectors, including online digital advertising, trucks, healthcare, telecommunications, and petrol forecourts.
