Octavian Nica

Octavian is a Senior Associate based in RBB’s London office. He joined the firm in 2021. Octavian has advised clients on a wide range of economic issues before the European Commission, the Competition and Markets Authority in the UK and other authorities and courts.

Since joining RBB, Octavian has advised clients on a variety of competition matters, including merger investigations and alleged restriction of competition inquiries. He has provided advice on matters before the European Commission and before a variety of national competition authorities, including the UK’s Competition and Market’s Authority (CMA) and the Romanian Competition Authority.

Octavian’s experience covers a wide range of sectors including IT infrastructure software, online retail, luxury fashion, aviation, construction, and sports betting.

Octavian completed his Master’s in economics and finance at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, and his undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester. Prior to joining RBB, Octavian worked in a management consultancy.

A Romanian national, Octavian is fluent in both English and Romanian.
