Miguel Á. Anes

Miguel Á. Anes is a Senior Associate based in RBB’s Madrid office. Miguel has experience presenting economic evidence and assessing competition matters across a wide range of industries. He has also significant experience providing expert testimony before Spanish courts of justice.

Since joining RBB in 2021, Miguel has advised clients on different competition matters, including litigation and damages, mergers and Article 101 investigations involving both horizontal and vertical issues. He has worked mainly in Spanish cases, but also before other jurisdictions including the European Commission and UK.

Miguel’s sectoral experience expands a wide range of industries, including construction, wholesale and retail distribution, transports, advertising, healthcare, banking and digital platforms.

Miguel is especially active in the field of litigation. His recent experience includes assisting Renault in relation to damage claims following the CNMC’s Article 101 decision in the car distribution sector. In particular, he has significant experience providing expert testimony before national courts of justice.

Miguel holds a MRes in Economic Analysis and a BSc in Economics from Carlos III University of Madrid. He was also a Teaching Assistant at this university before joining RBB.
