
Lucas Azpiazu is a Senior Associate at RBB Economics, based in Madrid. He holds an MSc in Economics from the Carlos III University of Madrid and a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University College of London. Lucas has worked on a wide range of competition matters before the European Commission, as well as several national competition authorities.
Since joining RBB Economics in 2019, Lucas has advised clients on competition aspects before the European Commission and national competition authorities, including the Spanish National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) and the Chilean Competition Authority (FNE).
His experience spans a range of competition matters. He has advised on mergers involving both horizontal and vertical issues, abuse of dominance, cartels and follow-on damage assessments.
Lucas has provided economic advice across a wide range of sectors, including the automotive industry, telecommunications, legal information and software services, banking, and advertising, amongst others.
