Jennifer Swart

Jennifer is an Associate Principal in RBB’s Amsterdam office, having relocated from the RBB Johannesburg office in South Africa. Prior to joining RBB in 2018, she completed her Undergrad and Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Stellenbosch.

Since joining RBB, Jennifer has worked on a number of competition matters both in the South African and European markets. Her experience includes mergers, alleged assessments of abuse of dominance, and market investigations. She also has experience in advising clients on separate litigation matters before the High Court of South Africa.

Some of Jennifer’s more recent work includes advising on a multi-jurisdictional merger across several African countries, conducting an in-depth local analysis in the European waste management market, and consulting on an intervention application before the South African Competition Tribunal.

Her case experience covers a broad variety of industries, including metal and mining, gambling, waste management, transport sectors, energy sector, fast-moving consumer goods, forestry, animal pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, decorative and industrial coatings, and e-commerce/digital marketing.
