Jan Christopher Rönn

Jan Christopher is a Senior Associate in the Berlin office of RBB Economics. He joined RBB in 2024 after having worked five years on competition matters at another leading economic consultancy in Germany.

He has advised clients across a range of competition matters and industries before the EC and national competition authorities and national courts.

Jan Christopher holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Mannheim and is fluent in German and English.

Jan Christopher has worked on a variety of competition matters before the European Commission, national competition authorities and national courts including those in Germany and the UK.

He has provided economic advice on mergers involving both horizontal and vertical aspects as well as in (self-)assessments regarding Article 102 disputes. Further, he has worked on multiple large private litigation cases.

He has also co-authored a support study for the revision of the EU Guidelines on State aid for environmental protection and energy.

Jan Christopher’s sector-specific expertise includes a wide range of sectors such as luxury watches, rail freight transport, grocery retail, medical devices, commodities (natural gas, timber), trucks and construction.

He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Mannheim. As a German national, he is fluent in German and English.
