Hillary Wee

Hillary is an Associate Principal in RBB’s London office. He advises and provides user-friendly support on competition, regulatory and dispute matters. Since joining RBB, he has been active in a wide range of cases, including in-depth Phase II mergers, high-profile market and conduct investigations, damages litigation and regulatory appeals.

Hillary has worked extensively on cases before the European Commission, the European courts, as well as national competition authorities, courts and utilities regulators at the national level. The latter span countries such as Australia, China, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, South America and the UK.

Since joining RBB, Hillary has worked on preparing economic expert reports on a wide range of topics and has been active in developing analytical tools and applying them effectively to the cases he works on.

His experience covers a broad range of sectors, including chemicals, consumer goods, electricity, infrastructure, motor vehicles, music rights, oil and gas, online/digital platforms, pharmaceuticals, ports, semiconductors, telecommunications, transportation and water.

Notable clients he has worked with include Bain Capital, EssilorLuxxotica, Google, Richemont, Samsung, Saudi Aramco, Scania, Tencent, Teva and Novartis.

Before joining RBB in 2018, Hillary was an economic consultant at Deloitte. Prior to that, he graduated with an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Economics from University College London, where he won the Eleonora-Allen prize for second-best performance overall.

Hillary’s first language is English. He is also fluent in Malay and Mandarin Chinese.
