David Bottan
David is a Senior Associate based in RBB’s Brussels office. He advises clients in the context of mergers, litigations and other competition matters before the European Commission, national competition authorities and courts.
His expertise covers various industries, including automotive, broadcasting, payment systems, electricity distribution, retail and private security.
David advises clients on a wide variety of competition economics matters. He has particular experience in the area of cartels and follow-on damages litigations, having advised multiple clients in litigations before national courts.
In the context of other competition economics settings, David has worked on various merger cases involving both horizontal and non-horizontal theories of harm. He has also advised the subjects of Article 101 investigations as well as clients potentially affected by specific market investigations.
David has advised numerous high-profile clients such as EssilorLuxottica, Scania and DAZN. His experience covers a wide range of sectors, including automotive, broadcasting, payment systems, electricity distribution, retail (grocery and specialist) and private security.
David holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Liege. He is fluent in English and Italian.
