David Bottan
David is a Senior Associate in RBB’s Brussels office. Since joining the firm in 2019, he has advised clients in the context of mergers, litigations and other competition matters before the European Commission, national competition authorities and courts.
David’s expertise covers various industries, including automotive, broadcasting, payment systems, electricity distribution, retail and private security.
He has particular expertise in the area of cartels and follow-on damages litigations, in which he has worked uninterruptedly for the past four years, acting as an economic expert in proceedings before multiple courts.
In the context of other competition economics settings, David has worked on various merger cases involving both horizontal and non-horizontal theories of harm. He has also advised the subjects of Article 101 investigations and clients involved in market investigations.
David has advised numerous high-profile clients, such as Scania, EssilorLuxottica, REWE, Global Payments, Nexans and DAZN.
He holds a MSc in Economics from the University of Liège, is an Italian and Belgian national and is fluent in English and Italian.
