Daniela Lamparelli

Daniela is a Senior Associate based in RBB’s Johannesburg office. She joined RBB in 2020, after completing a Master of Economic Science degree (with distinction) at the University of the Witwatersrand. Daniela also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and corporate finance, with first-class honours in economics and econometrics, from the same university.

Further to her university studies, Daniela has been fortunate to extend her knowledge of academic and policy-driven economic research by attending conferences centred on economics, including the 7th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting on Economic Sciences in 2022.

Since joining RBB, Daniela has advised on a range of competition matters, including mergers and acquisitions, abuse of dominance investigations, market inquiries, and regulatory issues.

Daniela has worked on multi-jurisdictional matters before the COMESA Competition Commission and the European Commission, as well as matters before various national competition and regulatory authorities, including those in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Mozambique, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Australia.

Her experience spans a variety of industries including decorative and industrial coatings, telecommunications, automotive aftermarkets, air travel, water and waste management, retirement funds, printing, logistics, and online search/intermediary platforms.
