Candice Townsend

Candice Townsend is a Senior Associate at RBB Economics, based in the Stockholm office. She holds a Masters degree in Economics and a BA Law degree from the University of Stellenbosch.

She joined RBB in Johannesburg at the beginning of 2015, joining from ABSA investments. Candice transferred to the Stockholm office in 2020.

Since joining RBB, Candice has worked on a wide range of projects before competition authorities and courts in Africa South America, Australia and the Europe. This work has included market inquiries, regulatory work and the assessment of price fixing allegations and excessive pricing allegations.

Some of Candice’s more recent work includes advising on a multi-jurisdictional merger across Asia, South America and Europe in the waste management market.

Candice has also worked on Nordic mergers in the plastics market.

Her case experience covers a broad variety of industries, including gambling, waste management, transport sectors, energy sector, fast-moving consumer goods, forestry, telecommunications, and e-commerce/digital marketing.
