Anton Miroshnichenko

Anton is an Associate Principal at RBB Economics and is based in London. Since 2015, he has been advising on a wide spectrum of economic matters within the realms of competition and regulation policy. His expertise in competition economics spans antitrust investigations, damages litigations, market studies and mergers, including horizontal and vertical issues.

Anton has extensive expertise in antitrust investigations, covering areas such as abuse of dominant position, information exchange, and cartels. His experience extends to advising the parties under investigation and the authorities conducting these inquiries.

In the field of litigations, he has advised on numerous follow-on and stand-alone proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal in the UK and various local courts across Europe, preparing economic and econometric evidence on the likelihood and quantum of damages, pass-on and other matters.

On mergers, Anton has worked on cases before the European Commission, the UK's Competition and Market Authority and competition authorities in Brazil, Canada, India, Russia, Singapore, Turkey and others.

In developing economic arguments, he reinforces economic theory and business facts with data-driven insights. He stays up-to-speed with the advancements in econometrics, including the implementation of interpretable machine learning models - Anton was among the first adopters of a Nobel Prize winner’s methodology of such a model on a competition case.

His sectoral experience covers semiconductor memory chips, heavy trucks, rail transport, cars, payment processing systems, online search and advertising, statutory audit, healthcare, social care and telecoms infrastructure.

Anton holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a first class honours BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick. He has also completed several professional courses on advancements in competition economics, including from the Toulouse and Barcelona Schools of Economics.

Anton is fluent in English and Russian.
