Annabelle Jochem

Annabelle Jochem is a Partner based in the Düsseldorf office of RBB Economics. She joined RBB in 2019, having already worked several years as an economic consultant specialised on competition matters in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Brussels.

Annabelle holds an MSc in Economic Studies with a focus on Competition and Regulation from Maastricht University.

She is recognised as leading competition expert by Who’s Who Legal.

Annabelle has provided economic advice in phase I and phase II mergers and acquisitions notified at the European Commission and national competition authorities in Austria, Germany and Poland.

Moreover, she has supported clients in cartel investigations before the European Commission and follow-on damages claims.

Annabelle has also advised clients in abuse of dominance cases, e.g. in the assessment of rebate schemes.

Annabelle has worked on competition issues across a wide range of industries, including advertising, automatic doors, the automotive sector, cement and ready-mixed concrete, construction chemicals, district heating, food retailing, fuel retailing, industrial gases, medical devices, payment cards, pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical wholesaling, sugar and telecommunication.

Annabelle has taught at the Academy of European Law (ERA) and is a member of the Executive Committee of W@CompetitionDE.
