Alina Gruschka

Alina is a Senior Associate based in the Düsseldorf office of RBB Economics, after starting at RBB’s office in London in 2018. Alina holds an M.Sc. in Economics and Social Science from Bocconi University and a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Economics from Maastricht University.

She has advised clients across a range of competition matters, including merger control before the EC and various national competition authorities, and cartel damages claims in Germany.

Alina has worked on a variety of high-profile competition matters before the European Commission and before various national competition authorities, including those in Germany and the UK.

She has provided economic advice on mergers involving both horizontal and vertical issues, as well as cartel follow-on damages litigation.

She has also contributed to a study for the EC focusing on ex-post-merger assessments of future market entry, expansion, and imports in EU merger decisions.

Alina’s experience includes a range of sectors such as insurance, trucks, TV broadcasting, telecommunications, sugar, event promotion and ticketing, and mining equipment.

Alina is fluent in German, English and Polish.
