On 15 June, The European Commission (EC) closed its antitrust investigation of potential anticompetitive practices in the European wood pulp sector. After a thorough analysis and careful assessment of the evidence, the EC concluded that there was insufficient ground to further pursue the investigation.
The RBB team led by Benoit Durand and Niklas Strand worked alongside law firms Delphi and Skadden to assist Swedish forestry organisation Södra during the full course of the investigation, which started with unannounced inspections on 12 October 2021.
