AI: balancing enforcement and innovation

Next month RBB's Benoît Durand will participate in the AI: balancing enforcement and innovation panel at the GCR Asia-Pacific conference.

Generative artificial intelligence and the power of big data are already presenting a challenge to competition enforcers. With the potential to disrupt traditional market structures, fast track innovation and fundamentally change how consumers interact with technology, the battle lines have been drawn in seeking to protect innovation while preventing market capture and foreclosure by dominant digital players. This panel will consider:

  • The range of approaches being adopted by lawmakers and agencies in the APAC region

  • The impact of contrasting enforcement strategies

  • If market studies and decisions in the UK, EU and US will influence the actions of local competition enforcers

At the end of the first day RBB will host the conference drinks reception, all delegates are invited.

RBB conference attendees: Benoît Durand, Yan Yu, Yi Ling Ng
